A Day in St. Tropez with ANNA

The sun casts a warm glow on the colorful houses by the harbor, the sea gently laps at the shore and we listen to the melody of “La Vie en Rose.” The song is an ode to love, letting us see life "through rose-colored glasses." Our founder and designer Anna doesn’t need rose-tinted glasses to recognize the beautiful things in life—and even more importantly—to celebrate them appropriately. Her boundless joy for life and her keen sense of beauty are reflected in the jewelry pieces of ANNA. She draws inspiration from all over the world, but one of her absolute favorite places is the French coastal town of St. Tropez, also known as “the Pearl of the Côte d'Azur.” Here, Anna shares with us her (until now) secret insider tips.

What do you find most fascinating about St. Tropez?

ANNA: St. Tropez is a small town that simply combines the finest and most beautiful aspects of the world. Everything here is of the highest quality and seems designed to create unforgettable moments. People meet each other with grace and kindness, as if every moment is incredibly precious. The joy of life, the beauty of nature—it’s like a beautiful song that touches the soul! In St. Tropez, life is enjoyed to the fullest.

What’s the first thing you do when you arrive in St. Tropez?

ANNA: I always head straight to the sea. There’s a lovely little beach called "Plage de Pampelonne" right by the town, where I love to dive into the crystal-clear water as soon as I get there.

Where do you enjoy your breakfast, le petit-déjeuner, in St. Tropez?

ANNA: On a relaxing morning, I like to have breakfast at the hotel. For about 10 years, I've been staying at "Le Yaca"—my absolute favorite hotel.
Another great spot is "Cédric Grolet & Airelles." This bakery is relatively new, and you don't have to wait long for a delicious croissant. Mmhm!
If you want to have breakfast right on the beach, "La Réserve à la Plage" is the place to go.
And of course, "Le Senequier" is a must, a renowned spot at the harbor of St. Tropez! If you sit outside, you can wonderfully watch the bustling streets and get inspired. I never sit in the front row, but instead I prefer to sit all the way in the back. A baguette with butter and jam, along with a Café Crème—et voilà, the perfect breakfast.

A stroll through the city: What are your favorite places in St. Tropez?

ANNA: It's almost impossible to single out specific places because everything is simply stunning! From the lively scene at the "Place des Lices" to the idyllic harbor promenade. However, I would definitely make a stop at the "Galerie Sol." This gallery features the most beautiful sculptures, paintings and other works of art.

Where do you like to shop in St. Tropez?

ANNA: Spontaneously, a charming little shop near "Place des Lices" called "Les Galeries Tropéziennes" comes to mind. You can find everything here: from household goods to clothing.
On Tuesdays and Saturdays, the market at "Place des Lices" is an absolute must. Strolling through the colorful market stalls, you can hardly get enough of all the beautiful things. There's also a flea market where you can find special antiques with fascinating histories. The store "Varsity Headwear" is also worth a visit. It's a paradise for cap lovers!

What does your typical "St. Tropez look" consist of?

ANNA: Jewelry & accessories are very important! You want to adorn yourself all the time in this place. From scarves and hats to colorful jewelry: bright turquoise and shimmering pearls. In the evening, I like to wear jewelry with emeralds.

Speaking of evening: Which restaurant would you recommend for a Rendez-Vous in St. Tropez?

ANNA: Definitely "Le Patio" in the garden of "Le Yaca." Here you can enjoy the finest Italian cuisine and it also often attracts well-known faces, such as Bernard Arnault. Bon appétit!
